The restaurant is almost directly opposite the ferry that takes you from Geelong to Docklands in Melbourne. Access on, off and in the interior of the ferry is fully wheelchair accessible. The main entrance to the restaurant has steps however, just around the side where the accessible outdoor seating is, is a fully accessible entry. You go up the ramp that’s inside and turn left into the restaurant or turn right to go to the accessible wheelchair toilet. The restaurant is extremely roomy, clean and has lovely views of the ocean. There is a lower counter (that is not low enough but still suitable) from where to order your meal. Your order is brought to your table. The server took the chair away from the table without me needing to ask. All the staff are extremely friendly and courteous. I’m sure they would be willing to assist with small things such as removing the lid off your soft drink. I asked my server to pour the water from the heavy bottle into the glass which he did - while apologising for not thinking of it himself! They also have takeaway. There is plenty of outdoor seating (although it is always my preference to eat inside as it usually more comfortable). The interior tables are wheelchair accessible and at a good height for the majority of users. Regarding the quality of food, personally it wasn’t the best fish and chips I’ve ever had. I found it was all the same type of flavour and was oilier than I prefer. Usually that happens when they’re cooking a lot of food and they don’t keep the temperature of the oil hot enough. However, the food was generous in serving, the fish tasty and it came with the condiments you need. TIP: A good tip to remember at any restaurant is, when you place your order, you can always request that the kitchen staff cut up your meal, such as the fish or a burger. That way eating your meal may be easier for you to manage if you have a hand disability. You may prefer that the preparation is done in the kitchen, and not at the table, so make that clear to staff.
