Melbourne Cellar Door is a fantastic venue for people using a wheelchair wanting a comfortable atmosphere with low music and plenty of movement space. There’s a real sense of calm when you first enter and the staff are quiet, well mannered and not intrusive. There’s no sense of chaos or feeling rushed. There are tables and chairs of different varieties. Plenty of those have excellent wheelchair access and, are slightly higher than normal, making it even more comfortable for a motorised wheelchair user. The venue is arranged so you can choose to sit is a more private space that is not so much in the main area. There is a roomy accessible toilet and that door is light and easy to open and close. The toilet flush button is flimsy but quite frankly not being able to access that is not my concern but the problem of the venue owner. I come across the same issue everywhere! The restaurant is located near the DFO. The food is varied and very affordable with mains about $22 to $28. Melbourne Cellar Door is suitable for all ages and mobility needs.
